“Umbrellas”

The sculpture ‘Umbrellas’ or ‘Ομπρέλλες’ (in Greek) was created by G. Zogolopoulos, it is 13m high and was presented in 1993 for the 46th Biennale in Venice, to celebrate 100 years of Biennale. In 1997 it was placed in Thessaloniki while the town was Cultural Capital of Europe. Nowadays you can also find it in Brussels, outside the Council of Ministers of EU.
